Montessori Training Center
The demand for Montessori-trained teachers is high around the globe but the availability of quality training is limited by the scarcity of AMI teacher trainers. Additionally, only seven AMI elementary teacher training courses exist in the world today (Baltimore, Maryland; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Dallas, Texas; St. Paul, Minnesota; Dublin, Ireland; Bergamo, Italy; and Zurich, Switzerland).
Currently only five people in the world are working toward the designation of Director of Training at the elementary level, and Spokane resident and SPS teacher Paula Gibson-Smith is one of them. Paula has been honored by the AMI Sponsoring Committee to be among the new generation of trainers who will bring Montessori to the children of the world.
