CoMP’s maintain quality training, recognition, and support to classrooms in order to maintain good standing with the SPS. CoMP's fundraising efforts supports teacher training, pets in the classroom, scholarships, transporation for campout, AMI certification, speakers, field trips, parent education, and many more requests as we follow our children.
The Nominating Committee of CoMP is looking for volunteers for the 2015/16 school year. Taking on a leadership role in CoMP is a great way to learn more about your child’s school. Show your gratitude for “winning the Montessori lottery” while getting to know other parents and help build school community. There are the following officer positions available: Treasurer, Co-Secretary, Co-Vice President. Parents not interested or able to take on an officer position might choose to be a parent rep instead. Parent reps play a crucial role in supporting the board and are the voices of the parent community. They attend board meetings and have a specific position (such as pet-care coordinator) or chair a standing committee (such as fundraising). For more information, please contact Sarah Iannelli (email@example.com) or Sarah Byers (firstname.lastname@example.org)
